These terms keep cloak's website, subscription, support flow, and early extension clear while the product is still evolving.
Using the site and product
These Terms govern your use of the cloak website, support and feedback flows, checkout flow, paid subscription, activation-code flow, and early browser extension. By using cloak, you agree to use it lawfully and not in a way that harms the site, infrastructure, product, or other people.
What cloak is
cloak is privacy protection for everyday browsing, helping reduce tracking, profiling, and price discrimination online. cloak is early-stage software, and features may change as the product improves.
cloak is not antivirus, legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, compliance advice, or a guarantee of lower prices, savings, or a specific commercial outcome.
Paid subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds
cloak is sold as one subscription product. Launch discounts may be applied with a promotion code at checkout when available and should not be treated as a separate product.
The checkout page should show the current price, discount, billing interval, and renewal terms before you pay. Prices, discounts, and availability may change for future customers.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and keeping your payment method current. Subscription access may be paused, cancelled, or revoked for failed payment, chargeback, refund, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
Refunds are available within 10 days of purchase. After 10 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law, duplicate billing occurred, or cloak is unable to provide the purchased service.
If a purchase is refunded, cloak may revoke access immediately. If a subscription is canceled without a refund, access continues through the end of the paid billing period and renewal is turned off.
Payment processors may keep card processing fees even when a refund is issued.
Activation and support
After a successful checkout, cloak sends an activation code and install steps to the email associated with the purchase. To unlock paid access in the extension, enter the same checkout email plus the matching activation code. cloak checks the backend and stores a local entitlement receipt in that browser.

Acceptable use
Do not misuse cloak, interfere with the site or extension, reverse engineer or bypass access controls except where law expressly allows, submit malicious content, impersonate others, abuse support systems, scrape in a way that harms operations, or use cloak to violate law or rights belonging to other people.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the cloak site content, design, writing, branding, extension code, and original materials belong to cloak or its licensors. You may reference public material in reasonable ways, but you may not copy, republish, sell, or commercially exploit cloak materials in a misleading or infringing way.
No warranty
cloak is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We try to keep the website, checkout, and extension working, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, compatibility with every site, or that every tracker, profiling signal, fingerprinting technique, or deceptive design pattern will be detected or blocked.
Liability limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, cloak is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; business interruption; or outcomes from third-party websites, payment processors, browsers, stores, or networks. If a court does not allow all of these limits, they apply only to the extent allowed.
Privacy
Use of the website, checkout, support flow, paid subscription, and extension is also governed by the cloak Privacy Policy linked in the footer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the site, checkout flow, and product evolve. When we do, we will update the date on this page and publish the revised version here. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
